Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is the most commonly offered and best known type of massage. It uses a firm but gentle pressure to improve the circulation, ease muscle aches and tension, improve flexibility and creates relaxation. Swedish massage employs five different movements: long, gliding strokes, kneading of individual muscles, friction, hacking or tapping, and vibration.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger points are tender areas usually found in tight muscles. They may radiate, or refer, pain to other areas of the body. They can also cause muscle weakness or restricted range of motion. Trigger points can result from a number of causes, including direct trauma, exposure to cold, and overuse of a muscle group. Neuromuscular massage is a manual system of working with trigger points.

Reflexology

Reflexology is the application of pressure, stretch and movement to the feet and hands to effect corresponding parts of the body. Reflexologists view the feet and hands as a mirror image of the body. By applying technique, a reflexologist can break up patterns of stress in other parts of the body. One hour reflexology sessions will include an exfoliating foot scrub and soak with essential oils while 30 and 45 minute sessions are reflexology only.

Myofascial Therapy

A gentle therapy, consisting of a mixture of light stretching and massage work. During a session, the therapist will apply hands-on massage strokes in order to release tension from the fibrous bands of the muscles, bones, nerves and joints, by unblocking any scar tissue or adhesions due to injury in the muscles and surrounding tissues.

Couples Massage

Couples massage is simply two people getting a massage in the same room. There will be two massage therapists and two massage tables in the room. This is great for couples and friends alike.

Deep Tissue

True Deep Tissue massage can be one of the most therapeutic and healing massages. Although not as rhythmic as other massage types, deep tissue massage interacts the most with body’s muscles and muscle groups. After a deep tissue massage, sore and tired muscles often become revived and energized. The body often feels as if it had a strenuous, yet impactful workout.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is perfect for a very active or athletic individual who seeks a muscle intensive massage modality. Sports massage concentrates more on specific areas of the body and is ideal for recreational lifestyles to help relieve discomfort or pain from over-activity.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy Massage can relieve several discomforts that come along with your changing body. During our pregnancy massage, a special body-cushion is used to help facilitate comfort while you are on the massage table. This massage can help to alleviate upper and lower back pain, aching knees and overall fatigue that often accompanies pregnancy.

Fertility Massage

Supports body cleansing, reduces stress hormones, balances reproductive hormones, stimulates reproductive hormones with reflexology, and creates a state of balance with essential oils. Not for women who might be pregnant. First session will include a required caster oil pack to take home for an additional $20.

Hot Stone Therapy with Swedish or Deep Tissue Massage

Hot Stone Therapy is a type of massage that uses smooth, heated and cooled stones to relieve stiffness and soreness, and to restore energy to aching muscles and joints.

Medical Massage

Medical massage is the application of specific treatment protocols targeted to the specific problems the client presents with or without physicians diagnosis and administered after a thorough postural evaluation.

Massage Cupping

Through suction, the skin is gently drawn upwards by creating a vacuum in a cup over the target area of the skin. The cup stays in place for five to fifteen minutes. It helps treat pain, deep scar tissue, connective tissue, and muscle knots.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy massage uses essential oils that are usually mixed with a carrier oil like sweet almond or coconut oil. The therapist uses up to five oils in a mixture, and chooses the oils based on what you need. A relaxing aromatherapy massage, for instance, might have lavender or bergamot, while a massage for sore muscles might include peppermint and eucalyptus.
